Class “A-Restricted” Course Overview and Description

For smaller truck-trailer combinations, such as a recreational, horse or utility trailer, also heavy trucks covered by “D” license, but not trailers equipped with air brakes.

May also drive vehicles in Classes: D and G.

This program does not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.

Metro offers the following packages for the Class A-Restricted

Class AR – Bronze Course (6 Hours)

The expected course timeline is 2-3 days and consists of the following:

• 2 Hours of Vehicle Inspections
• 2 Hours of Yard Training and Road Driving
• 2 Hours of Vehicle Supplied for the MTO Road Test
• Certificate Provided Upon Completion

$750.00 + HST

Includes all materials provided and instructional training.

Class AR – Silver Course (9 hours)

The expected course timeline is 3-4 days and consists of the following:

• 4 Hours of Vehicle Inspections
• 3 Hours of Yard Training and Road Driving
• 2 Hours of Vehicle Supplied for the MTO Road Test
• Certificate Provided Upon Completion

$1000.00 + HST

Includes all materials provided and instructional training.

Class AR – Gold Course (15 hours)

The expected course timeline is 4-5 days and consists of the following:

• 7 Hours of Vehicle Inspections
• 6 Hours of Yard Training and Road Driving
• 2 Hours of Vehicle Supplied for the MTO Road Test
• Certificate Provided Upon Completion

$1500.00 + HST

Includes all materials provided and instructional training.
