Class B

Class “B” Course Overview and Description

Types of vehicles allowed to drive: any school purpose bus.
May also drive vehicles in Classes: C, D, E, F and G.

Additional Requirements
i) Clear the Criminal Record and Judicial Matters background check. Instructions for satisfying this requirement can be obtained by students at our office.
ii) Complete the School Bus Driver Improvement Course within 3 months of passing the road test. This training program is offered by our school, please inquire with a training coordinator.

This program does not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.

Metro offers the following packages for the Class B:

Class B – Bronze Course (6.5 hours)

The expected course timeline is 2-3 days and consists of the following:

• 2 Hours of Vehicle Inspections
• 2 Hours of Yard Training and Road Driving
• 0.5 Hour of Railroad Crossing and Passenger pick-up Procedures
• 2 Hours of Vehicle Supplied for the MTO Road Test
• Certificate Provided Upon Completion

$600.00 + HST

Includes all materials provided and instructional training.

Class B – Silver Course (9 hours)

The expected course timeline is 3-4 days and consists of the following:

• 4 Hours of Vehicle Inspections
• 2.5 Hours of Yard Training and Road Driving
• 0.5 Hour of Railroad Crossing and Passenger pick-up Procedures
• 2 Hours of Vehicle Supplied for the MTO Road Test
• Certificate Provided Upon Completion

$800.00 + HST

Includes all materials provided and instructional training.

Class B – Gold Course (12 hours)

The expected course timeline is 4-5 days and consists of the following:

• 6 Hours of Vehicle Inspections
• 3.5 Hours of Yard Training and Road Driving
• 0.5 Hour of Railroad Crossing and Passenger pick-up Procedures
• 2 Hours of Vehicle Supplied for the MTO Road Test
• Certificate Provided Upon Completion

$1000.00 + HST
