Class D

Class “D” Course Overview and Description

Types of vehicles allowed to drive: any truck or combination, provided the towed vehicle is not over 4,600 kg. Examples may include fire trucks, cement trucks, waste management trucks, snowplow trucks, or others.
May also drive vehicles in Classes: G.

This program does not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.

Metro offers the following packages for the Class D

Class D – Bronze Course (6 hours)

The expected course timeline is 2-3 days and consists of the following:

• 2 Hours of Vehicle Inspections
• 2 Hours of Yard Training and Road Driving
• 2 Hours of Vehicle Supplied for the MTO Road Test
• Certificate Provided Upon Completion

$550.00 + HST

Includes all materials provided and instructional training.

Class D – Silver Course (9 hours)

The expected course timeline is 3-4 days and consists of the following:

• 4 Hours of Vehicle Inspections
• 3 Hours of Yard Training and Road Driving
• 2 Hours of Vehicle Supplied for the MTO Road Test
• Certificate Provided Upon Completion

$800.00 + HST

Includes all materials provided and instructional training.

Class D – Gold Course (12 hours)

The expected course timeline is 4-5 days and consists of the following:

• 6 Hours of Vehicle Inspections
• 4 Hours of Yard Training and Road Driving
• 2 Hours of Vehicle Supplied for the MTO Road Test
• Certificate Provided Upon Completion

$1000.00 + HST

Includes all materials provided and instructional training.
